Built Intentionally

Alignment isn't a destination—it's a lifelong practice

Early experiences in education and translational research introduced Dr. Tim to the power of mentorship, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration through the guidance of neuroscientist Dr. Jonathan Lifshitz.

Those lessons took on new meaning during Dr. Tim's second year of medical school, when a handwritten letter from orthodontist Dr. Cliff Running challenged him to think differently about the future—a reminder that a single act of encouragement can change the direction of a life.

Together, those experiences informed a career spanning medicine, neuroscience, dentistry, leadership, and education—and ultimately led to one enduring question:

How do you intentionally align providers, patients, practices, and communities so that everyone benefits?

A foundation built across disciplines

Dr. Tim's perspective was shaped through an interdisciplinary journey across neuroscience, medicine, and dentistry—guided by a lifelong commitment to education, service, and leadership.

The goal is not simply efficiency—it is alignment.

When systems are designed around the provider and the community they serve, practices become more authentic, sustainable, and successful. By creating alignment between who the provider is and what the community values, we help position people and practices for long-term growth and meaningful impact.

Understand

Through

Observation

We seek to understand the broader picture: who the provider is, the goals they are working toward, and what will be required to achieve them.

Only then do we evaluate workflows, systems, resources, and operations—not simply to identify inefficiencies, but to discover opportunities where greater alignment can create better experiences, more resilient organizations, and lasting impact.

The objective is not simply to solve today's challenges, but to build resilient organizations capable of learning, adapting, and sustaining exceptional experiences for years to come.

Align,

Design, and

Develop

Every successful practice exists at the intersection of two defining forces: the provider and the community they serve. Sustainable growth occurs when those two realities are intentionally aligned—not when one is forced to conform to the other.

Every provider brings a unique combination of experiences, values, strengths, personality, and vision. Every community has its own needs, expectations, culture, and identity.

Our role is to understand both.

Together, we design careers that authentically reflect the provider while meaningfully serving the community around them.

They're built by becoming the right person for the right practice in the right community.

Measure and Sustain via Intentional Action

Through education, coaching, measurement, feedback, and continuous refinement, we help providers and organizations sustain meaningful improvement long after a strategy has been developed.

Meaningful improvement requires more than insight—it requires intentional action. Knowledge creates awareness. Practice develops capability. Consistency builds culture.

Lasting transformation occurs when better decisions become better habits, and better habits become the foundation for exceptional experiences.

Because lasting change isn't created by writing a plan.

It is created by living it.

Start the Conversation

Whether you’re looking to establish an orthodontic program in your office or planning something bigger like a multi-site orthodontic program for your group, we can help. Need to talk through the next step? We can be there. Together, we'll identify areas for growth and determine whether OBI is the right fit for you, your career, or your practice.

Not sure what’s next?

Whether you're still in training, evaluating opportunities, looking to add orthodontic services to your office or planning your future practice, we help providers develop the clarity, confidence, and direction needed to build an intentional career.
